National Chairman’s Welcome
Welcome to the 2026/27 season of Nomads UK Golf.
It is a great pleasure, as Chairman, to welcome all our members, returning and new, to another season of friendship, competition and, of course, golf.
Nomads UK Golf is about much more than the game itself. It is about the friendships we build, the camaraderie we share and the opportunity to enjoy some great days together on courses across the country. Whether you are playing competitively, enjoying a social round, representing your Nomads club or simply meeting up with fellow members, I hope the coming season provides plenty of memorable moments.
The year ahead promises another full programme of golf, social, furtherance of golf and Charity events. I would encourage everyone to get involved wherever possible. Our strength comes from the participation and enthusiasm of our members, and it is that spirit which makes Nomads UK Golf such a special organisation.
I would also like to thank everyone who gives their time throughout the year to organise matches, events and competitions, give back to people less fortunate than us and support Blind golf through our furtherance of golf programme. Your commitment is hugely appreciated and ensures that we can continue to offer such a varied and enjoyable programme.
Congratulations to Ian Wright and Steve Cochrane on their successful year as Captains of their respective clubs and good luck to Craig Wearne and Basil Burger for their Captaincy year. I hope you enjoy it.
To our new members, I hope you quickly feel part of the Nomads family. To those who have been with us for many years, thank you for your continued support and for helping to maintain the traditions and spirit of Nomads UK Golf.
I wish you all an enjoyable, successful and memorable 2026/27 season. May the golf be good, the weather kind, and the fellowship even better.
